Programs and Services
The Marin County Law Library offers reference services to the community, including assistance in accessing legal forms and other legal information materials. While our staff cannot provide legal advice, they can help you find legal aid and attorney referral services if you need help from an attorney.
Passport Services
The Marin County Law Library is an official U.S. Dept. of State Passport Acceptance Facility. The Law Library offers the convenience of applying for your passport with a scheduled appointment.

First Thursdays at the Law Library
This program offers residents of Marin the opportunity to learn about the numerous service agencies and county departments that provide resources and help to the public at no or low cost. Speakers will present information about their organization followed by a question and answer period. Get to know your local officials and community service agencies.
Lawyers in the Library
The Marin County Law Library in collaboration with the Marin County Bar Association support Lawyers in the Library, a community program offering free 20 minute consultations with an attorney for self-represented litigants.
Meeting Room
The Law Library provides a meeting room so patrons may meet with clients in a private room, hold meetings and conduct depositions. Please note capacity is up to 12 people in the meeting room.

Westlaw Patron Access
The Law Library provides access to Westlaw Patron Access, an online legal research service that contains numerous secondary sources, state, and federal cases, and state and federal codes.
USB Drives
Patrons can save information from the Law Library's public computers onto USB drives, but must provide their own USB drive or can purchase one from the Library for $8.00 each.
Photocopier and Scanner
The Law Library provides photocopiers and printers for patron use. Patrons may purchase a copy card in any amount to use these services. Copies and prints are $0.25. Patrons may also access scanning services at the front desk at a cost of $1.00 per page.
